Systematic assessment work carried out by the Thames Discovery Programme, hosted by MOLA, led to the discovery of the foundations of the 14th century Thames riverwall. Historic Royal Palaces commissioned further investigation work, including survey work, watching briefs and site visits, which informed plans for protection and on-going maintenance of the historic wall.
